A city girl moved to the country, and learning about her grandmother in 1937.

The story was predictable in places. If you’ve read a lot of ‘rural life’ stories before. (My parents grew up just after this era so they’ve told me a lot of stories.) Yet there are enough twists to keep the story moving without going overboard. Just believable enough that you wonder if they happened, but out there enough to make you wonder.

While I found it somewhat dull, but it was well written enough that I finished it. For someone not as well versed in ‘country life’ it will make a excellent, and fun read. I’m going to offer it to my parents to read and see what they think of it.
